DOS/EGA font

There is a TrueType font (TTF), which is an exact copy of the font used by DOS. I made it using the FontForge software (a nice font editor for Linux). I used the *.CPI fonts bundled with FreeDOS as model. DOS/EGA is encoded in Unicode-BMP, therefore it may be used without any problem on modern, multilingual systems. It supports english, french, polish, german, and probably several other languages. Beside its "retro" value, it's a great replacement to the oldish "fixedsys" font (which is not compliant to Unicode anyway).

The DOS/EGA font is free: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Public License. This file is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Public License for more details.

The author of this TTF font is Mateusz Viste. If you use or redistribute the DOS/EGA font, don't forget to mention the author, as well as the original URL this font can be downloaded from.
